This is a beautiful spindle of Pacific Madrone wood. It has light peach color with darker peach undertones. About the Tree

This Madrona tree lived a long and healthy life on San Juan Island, Washington. It died naturally and was harvested in the course of good forest management. It was standing a while before being harvested, so there is a bit of spalting throughout that adds to its beauty. Not all pieces have spalting, but quite a few have black-line spalting and added color from mineralization streaks.
