More than seventy years ago, American forces exploded the first atomic bombs over the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, causing great physical and human destruction. The young scientists at Los Alamos who developed the bombs, which were nicknamed Little Boy and Fat Man, were introduced to the basic principles and goals of the project in March 1943, at a crash course in new weapons technology. The lecturer was physicist Robert Serber, J. Robert Oppenheimer's prot g , and the scientists learned that their job was to design and build the world's first atomic bombs. Notes on Serber's lectures were gathered into a mimeographed document titled TheLos Alamos Primer, which was supplied to all incoming scientific staff. The Primer remained classified for decades after the war.

Published for the first time in 1992, the Primer offers contemporary readers a better understanding of the origins of nuclear weapons. Serber's preface vividly conveys the mingled excitement, uncertainty, and intensity felt by the Manhattan Project scientists. This edition includes an updated introduction by Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Richard Rhodes.

A seminal publication on a turning point in human history, The Los Alamos Primer reveals just how much was known and how terrifyingly much was unknown midway through the Manhattan Project. No other seminar anywhere has had greater historical consequences.

Basic, comfy, fair price
Size: 12, Color: Pastel Pack
These are great for people like me whose skin will not tolerate elastic. Also love them when I need to go to the doctor's and I want a little more coverage under a paper gown! They're comfy, and the range of colors is reasonably pretty and spring-like. They're very basic boxers with very basic seaming - nothing fancy, and they look about as cheap as they are. Still, the fabric is a good weight and real cotton, and they have a nice, loose fit. This is the second time I've bought them - they wear well!

Perfect for me (update, took 1 star away) (2nd update Jul 20, 2022)
Size: 8, Color: Pastel Pack, Size: 8, Color: Pastel Pack
This product is amazing. You get 10 pairs of underwear in 5 pastel colors. Colors are exactly as shown. I used an 18 inch ruler in my pictures to show size and stretchability. The height from pant leg bottom to waist line is long so you dont worry about any buttcrack showing. It covers your thighs, too. These are nice because they added some space between the legs instead of stitching it like yoga pants where the pants legs come up and just merge together at the crotch. This underwear gives room for your lady bits and prevents cameltoes/front wedgies. The fabric on the hip area is just as stretchable as the waistband. 2021 September edit: I still love these and so I bought another pack. Simply because my other, uncomfortable underwear (not this pack) has irritated me enough. I realized that I was usually happier with my clothing when I was wearing these underwear because they are just so comfortable (and my fav colors)! They have held up very well and at least with the pastel pack, the colors still look good. The writing on the inside has held up as well. $50 for 10 super comfy pairs of underwear is great imo. Second update: I compared my new pairs to my old ones (ssme size ordered) and the waistband used to be manufactured to stretch about 2 more inches or so. The new way they created the hem is less stretchy so I took a star off my rating. My newer pairs of this underwesr will be my last choice to wear for the day compared to my first order. The blue pair in the video is part of my first order of these and pink is a pair from my newer purchase. Yes that video was a bit tricky to make lol. The pink pair was made in Pakistan and the blue was made in India. Jul 20th update: I now have significant holes in my first pairs. But this is due to both lots of wearing, and also because my cats like to knead on my clean clothes.

Mixed Feelings
Ok, so... It seems there's not much quality control for these underpants. About half of them have the back seam way too short so it doesn't come as far up in the back as it should, making it very uncomfortable if you wear them and bend forward. Be aware that there are four pretty thick seams on them. Two going right up the front and back and the two on the sides. Positives are the colors are great, and the material is very soft. I actually just wear these to bed, inside-out because of the harsh seams, and I wear them two sizes bigger than I am so they are nice and loose. I ordered my correct size to wear regularly and found that the inconsistency in the back seam was just too much for me. I will not be ordering these again.
